Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good The management team is determined to provide the best experiences possible for children who attend the club. There is an ethos of deep commitment from every practitioner, resulting in strong teamwork. Practitioners are deployed effectively throughout the club to ensure children’s safety and welfare. Children arrive with energy and enthusiasm and settle in quickly. Practitioners listen to children and they encourage them to know that their views and opinions count. Children are very involved in the planning of the activities that they take part in. Children develop warm and trusting relationships with the qualified and experienced practitioner team. This helps to support children’s emotional well-being. Children have lots of fun as they confidently join in with activities. Children are caring towards each other and treat resources with respect. Practitioners are good role models. This encourages children to understand how to behave appropriately in the club. It is not yet outstanding because: On occasions, practitioners do not give children the best possible support to develop their independence in their self-help skills. Although the club has an excellent relationship with the host school, partnerships with all other schools that children attend are not so firmly established. This means that the club is not able to provide complementary activities to fully extend some children’s achievements and learning.
