Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is outstanding The quality of teaching is consistently outstanding throughout the nursery. Children experience exceptionally exciting and varied activities that cover aspects of their learning in depth. Children are challenged extremely well in their thinking and they thoroughly enjoy being at the nursery. They are busy and engaged in the activities, which are planned around their individual interests. Staff have an excellent knowledge of how children learn through play. They use their observations to plan sharply focused next steps in learning. Assessment is regular and precise and all children make excellent progress from very clear starting points. There is excellent communication and sharing of information with parents. Children are very happy and secure in this welcoming nursery. Staff obtain very detailed information from parents about each child’s well-being and needs. Children’s behaviour is excellent and staff teach them to have very good manners. Healthy eating and lifestyles are promoted particularly well. Leadership and management are extremely dynamic and truly inspirational. The highly motivated staff work as a very strong team to monitor and evaluate their provision very effectively. The monitoring of staff practice and children’s progress is extremely well documented and thorough. There are strong links with other early years providers in the local area, as well as with the other nurseries in the group. Staff share ideas and best practice. They work closely with other professionals so that children’s learning experiences continually improve. The management team has a very clear plan of how to improve the exceptionally high-quality provision even further.
