Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good The management team works well to provide a good-quality service for children and their families. They use self-evaluation effectively, and consult parents and children about aspects to develop. This has led to improvements to children’s outdoor play. The caring and attentive staff know the children well, and support their social and emotional development effectively. Children are happy, relaxed, and feel safe and secure. Partnership working with the host school is strong. Staff have a good understanding of what children learn at school. They seek information about what children achieve, so they can offer complementary activities. Staff skillfully help the children to take turns in discussions and share their ideas. Children enjoy talking about their news from home and school, developing good communication and language skills. Partnerships with parents are effective. The management team keeps parents well informed about the activities it offers, for example, through newsletters and discussions with parents when they pick up their children. It is not yet outstanding because: Overall, staff provide a range of interesting activities to engage the children. However, younger children have few opportunities to explore and investigate, to solve problems and keep them motivated to succeed.
