Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is outstanding The manager and her team are extremely dedicated and committed to providing the highest standards of care and education. They have high expectations of staff, children and parents and successfully promote a culture of excellence and achievement for all. Teaching is consistently innovative and inspiring. Staff plan activities that are targeted extremely well at supporting children to build on their individual skills and capabilities and to develop confidence in themselves as active learners. Children make excellent progress, based on their starting points and individual capabilities. Support for children who have special educational needs or disability is exceptional. The manager and her staff demonstrate a true commitment to working in partnership with external agencies. They act on the advice given to them to provide additional activities to enhance and support children’s learning. Partnerships with parents are excellent. The information parents provide about their children contributes significantly to the staff’s success in accurately planning for and meeting each child’s needs. Parents are fully informed about the educational programme and are actively involved in supporting their children’s learning at home and in the nursery. An exceptional key-person system fully supports children’s individual preferences. Children form exceedingly close and trusting relationships with committed and dedicated staff who in turn, respond to their every need. This contributes towards children being exceptionally happy, settled and assured. Staff make the very most of the opportunities to promote children’s independence. They encourage children to manage practical tasks and to be creative and independent thinkers. This helps to prepare children for the next stage in their learning.
