Children learn about their own health and well-being. They talk about foods that are good for their bodies and the importance of being physically active. Staff are proactive with regard to their own professional development. They identify and access a variety of training opportunities to continually develop their knowledge and skill base in the early years. Superb relationships with the adjoining school support children’s awareness of school life. Time spent meeting teaching staff throughout their time at pre-school and visiting the school ensures the transition into school is a relaxed and positive experience. Children’s safety is paramount. Staff take good steps to ensure that the environment is safe and secure. Records of visitors to the setting are maintained and children are not left unattended with unchecked adults.
