Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Children develop a strong sense of belonging through their active involvement in how the club is run. They enjoy linking up with one another during challenging indoor activities, sharing ideas and playing collaboratively. Staff are good role models and instil essential social skills. This reflects in children’s positive and respectful behaviour. Parents are well informed about the club and what their children do. Children are very settled. They develop very positive relationships with staff who create a safe, relaxed, enjoyable, friendly and extremely stimulating indoor learning environment. Children’s experiences are enhanced by interesting outings during the school holidays. The effective deployment of staff enables children to move freely between indoors and outdoors in line with their individual preference. Staff give high consideration to children’s physical well-being. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not optimise use of the outdoor learning environment to offer a richer and more varied range of experiences for children who prefer to play outside. Staff do not routinely gain purposeful information on entry to provide a clearer picture of new children, especially where they do not move from the sister nursery. Staff do not consistently share precise information with others to fully promote continuity in children’s individual care and complement their experiences.
