Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Staff have a good knowledge and understanding of the signs and symptoms that may indicate a concern about a child’s welfare. Staff know how to recognise children who may be at risk, for example, from extreme behaviours and views. Staff discuss positive behaviour with children, who listen carefully to the clear and consistent guidance. Children behave well. Staff work well in partnership with other professionals to support children’s individual needs. This is particularly effective for children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff share information with other professionals, early years settings and schools to help support consistency. Children, including those receiving funding, enjoy their learning and make good progress. Staff make observations and know the children well. They gather important information from parents to plan effectively for children’s individual development. It is not yet outstanding because: The manager does not precisely focus staff’s professional development on minimising the few minor inconsistencies in the quality of teaching and raising it to a higher level. Staff do not consistently organise some planned activities in the most effective way to help fully engage the youngest children in their learning.
