Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good The nursery benefits from exceptionally effective leaders. Their clear vision continues to improve and develop children’s care and learning. Children’s safety and well-being are at the heart of everything the staff and managers do. The manager has created a learning culture for staff as well as children. She uses innovative methods, such as role play and filming staff practice, to help staff develop their skills and improve their practice even further. Partnerships with parents and others are outstanding. Staff know the children extremely well, through home visits and an excellent exchange of information. They regularly go above and beyond to ensure that children feel secure and everyone is working together for the benefit of the children. Staff provide stimulating resources and activities that follow children’s current interests so they are eager to join in. Staff tailor activities to what each child needs to learn next. Skilful teaching, overall, ensures all children make good progress. Managers and staff monitor children’s progress accurately. They are alert to groups and individuals at risk of falling behind. They act swiftly to ensure children get the support they need as soon as possible, to help them achieve as well as they can. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not always make the best use of opportunities to encourage children to become involved fully in their play and extend children’s learning.
