This provision is outstanding The provider and her team are deeply committed to providing a homely environment where children are valued. They provide a welcoming, relaxed and stimulating atmosphere where children play, rest and chat with their friends. The provider maintains meticulous documentation which underpins the smooth running of the club. Staff rigorously implement policies and procedures. They prioritise children’s health and safety at all times. The provider and her staff establish superbly effective two-way partnerships with the schools children attend. They regularly share information to promote consistency and continuity in children’s care. The key-person system is highly effective in supporting children, especially when they start at the club. Children quickly establish strong and respectful relationships with staff and are confident to talk to them about their day at school. Children’s ideas and thoughts about the club are highly valued. Staff incorporate these ideas when planning activities. This helps children to develop a sense of belonging. Staff sensitively promote children’s emotional well-being. They ensure children have good opportunities to talk about anything which may concern them. This helps children to explore their feelings and reactions about national incidents as well as minor disagreements with friends.
